Javier Erro is a Journalism student at the University of Navarra, but aside from that, he's also a singer. He participated in La Voz and ended up as a finalist. He has also performed live many times. I sat down for a brief interview with him.

First, tell me a little about yourself

Well, my name is Javier Erro, I'm eighteen years old, I'm from Pamplona and I've always loved music, even when I was a little boy. Of course, the big change in my life came in 2015 when I participated in La Voz Spain, which gave me an opportunity to be known at national level. I haven't stopped working since. I've been on national radio and TV programs and doing collaborations. I also have a few years writing my own songs. I've been trying to tell real stories and express my feelings through music to put more of my own creativity and identity on my work.

And where are you right now in your musical career? What are your working on?

Like I said, I'm working on writing my own songs and I'm thinking about some projects that were offered to me for 2018. I'm focusing mainly on recording my songs to be able to take them to the audience and perform them live. I'm really excited to start connecting with the audience with original material. On social media I see that people do want more of Javier Erro, so yeah.

What is the best thing about performing live?

Actually, what I love the most about singing is performing live. I prefer it over being on television or recording on studio. I love seeing the audience and their responses to the music, as well as being able to interact with them. I really like it.

How do you expect to combine university life with your musical career? Do you expect to perform at university events?

I'm really happy with the university so far. I've met a lot of great people with similar interests, as well as people that also enjoy music and would even like to go to my concerts, so I'd like to be known in the university as someone who dedicates himself to music. I'm sure there will be a lot of concerts next year and I would sure like to invite a lot of people from the university.

Well, thank you very much.
