The Youngest son of the Maestro Fela Kuti, the Kuti keeps bringing music to the world. Seun now leads his dad former band “Egypt 80”, where he plays the Saxophone and does vocals. Following his dad’s and his brother Femi Footsteps his music is as well full of activism. Seun participated actively in the Occupy Nigeria protests in 2012. With the Egypt 80 Seun has released 4 albums: Many things, From Africa With Fury: Rise, A long Way to the beginning, and a special version of “From Africa With Fury: Rise”.

The latter is specially recommended to start listening to another great musician given to us by Fela Kuti, as well a song with Latin American group Calle 13: “Todo Se Mueve”, and if you are in more need to some Kuti Music on the Left there's a whole album.

Yinka's music can be described between a mixture of Afrobeat and Jazz, different from the artists on the recommendations since they tend to incline more into Funk. However, Yinka Davies’s Music is extremely beautiful. The voice of Yinka has blown my mind and has quickly become one of my favorite voice. Yinka’s dedication to continuing her craft is that a woman must be seen, heard, respected and celebrated in Nigeria. She holds her work to an extremely high esteem, as she believes that consistency is extremely important when working.

If you want to give Yinka a listen here are a few of my favorites: For Example, Ise Oluwe, Eko Ile, Taxi Driver (Ft Gloria Rhodes) and Emi Nlo (Colab with Lagabja).

Sosimi's career began when he joined Fela Kuti’s Egypt 80. Later on he went on to create with Femi Kuti Positive force, in both bands he played the keyboard, as well as being the music director, taking care of re-orchestrating and arranging music and handling the recruiting and training of new musicians. Sosimi’s music is a blend of funk grooves, Nigerian Traditional Music, African Percussion and rhythmical singing. Recently Sosimi has taken an interest in electronic Music and has conducted several collaborations with contemporary electronic musicians.

To start listening to Sosimi here are some of my favorite songs: Aiye Le (dan Shake remix), Sanctuary, Aiye Le, You No Fit Touch Am (Medlar Remix), You No Fit touch Am (original).
